This lovely container has been named Watkins by our Samurai. Watkins stores treasures of all kinds. If something makes it to Watkins, chances are the boy did it. This has become a fun game at our house. What will be in Watkins next?
Yesterday was filled with special reports to prepare for the imminent blizzard and stay of the roads. I immediately did a mental check and realized that the one propane tank was empty and the other was half at best. All the flashlights and lanterns were dead. I heeded the warning, canceled plans, and prepared to bunker down. It did snow right on time but blizzard, not so much. After all that I have determined I would rather be over prepared than under. I am thankful for the white coat and the push to get prepared. I now have full propane tanks, and fresh batteries in the lanterns. We are just starting the season and now I can rest assured that we will have heat, cooking and light if the storm actually hits. I am thankful for many things today like hot chocolate (for the kids, I am stocked with diet coke), warmth, and a warning to get prepared.
Today we enjoy the idea of a blizzard and will fill our day with fun projects, snow playing, and being together.
