We started the day with the Murri's at the chuck wagon breakfast put on by the Bountiful city youth council. Then spent most of the day at This is the Place State Park. Meg couldn't believe Pioneers pulled these carts over mountains and through streams.
Molli's favorite parts of the day were all of the small windows in the houses. She said the houses were made just for her size. The windows in the top floors of the pioneer homes were at her height and so were the door knobs. Molli said, "Cool, this house is made for my size."
Sam is very much a third child. I think he is on his 5th piece of licorice. Anyone have a wet wipe? Because we sure didn't.
Meg went into the Barber shop to get shaved. The barber put on a little "sissy" water for her.
In true Molli fashion she loved jumping on this bridge while Meg pet all the animals.

Where we learned more about life as a Pioneer. We went on a covered wagon ride, made pioneer toys, and walked through many pioneer homes. It was so fun to be together as a family this holiday!

Looks like it was fun...was it crowded too?
way to teach some history to your kids... I always say "we're making history, kids", but forget to share with them the past... kids look great and too cute!
Hey, this is Stephanie Postma! I just found you're blog off of Amber Brodericks! Super cute, it is so good to see you're family again :) We have a blog as well, but I have had to make it private, if you would like an invite then just shoot me an e-mail to Stephanie.postma@gmail.com and I will send you an invite. What darling kids you have, I really miss the old neighborhood :)
Living in Vegas we don't get to do the Pioneer thing. Such fun pictures! Your family is so cute! I hope you are doing well and it is so fun to look at all the blogs!
That looks like you had tons of fun. Enjoy Pioneer Day. We missed it when we realized that it was happening. My mom called me and I was in Sam's club. I had totally forgot about it! Let me know how things are going in the old wonderful Bountiful neighborhood.
