So I don't know how many of you say to your kids, "OK just a minute, let me finish this one last thing and I will get that for you." I am totally guilty of this offense. Well, My little snacker Molls has been asking for her second round of Dino chicken nuggets for...I will not disclose the amount of asking time...lets just say awhile. So one thing leads to another and Molli comes into the office, sits on the desk and says, "Mom, you are cold."
"I know Dad likes the window open."
She stands up closes the window. (Not an easy task, it's an old crank window) Sits back down, kisses my nose.
"You should be warm now. Will you please get my Dino nuggets? I am starving!"
It always amazes me at how much my children teach me. She could have stomped her feet and screamed about her needs not being met. Instead, she did an act of service then very politely reminded me that she needed me. Lesson learned put others needs before your own and everything usually works itself out.
